It will continue to be much too warm for February this coming weekend. Double-digit temperatures of up to 17 degrees are expected throughout Austria. However, it will continue to rain in large parts of the country.

On Friday morning, there will be some regional fog or high fog, especially in the Danube region, the Waldviertel, or basin locations in the south. Apart from that, the sun will shine for a long time during the day, and only a few loose patches of cloud will pass by. In the west, however, multi-layered and denser clouds will soon gather. Highs will be between eight and 17 degrees, depending on the fog and sunshine.

A cold front will cross Austria from the north-west on Saturday. The last cloud gaps will soon close in the east and south. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy and dull in the early morning. In the morning, rain will set in from the Tyrolean lowlands to the Waldviertel and spread to large parts of the country by the evening. The snow line will be unusually high for the time of year, between 1700 and 2100 meters above sea level. Temperatures will be between eight and 14 degrees.

On Sunday, clouds will initially predominate, and a few raindrops will fall in the south. During the day, however, the clouds will slowly clear in the west and the Danube region, and the sun will sometimes come out. Highs will be between eight and 15 degrees.

On Monday, sunny spells are first expected in the south and east. However, the sky will be mostly cloudy, and rain is sometimes expected. It is most likely to remain dry in the south. Early morning temperatures will be between minus four and plus five degrees, and afternoon temperatures will be between six and twelve degrees.
There will be intermittent sunshine on Tuesday in the south, south-east, and far east. Otherwise, there will be a few patches of cloud, and the sun will only appear briefly. Some rain showers are expected, especially from Vorarlberg to western Lower Austria, with the snow line fluctuating between 800 and 1100 meters above sea level. Towards the evening, the showers will become less frequent, and the clouds will slowly clear. The lowest temperatures will be minus two to plus six degrees, with daytime highs of five to twelve degrees.
