After a changeable April characterized by warm weekend temperatures followed by more relaxed days, Austria is now facing a significant change in the weather. But where and when can we expect the hottest time of the year? Here are the details.
Today, Saturday, almost all of Austria promises temperatures above the 20-degree mark. The warmest regions will be Vorarlberg and Salzburg, where temperatures will reach a pleasant 22 degrees—the best in the country. On Sunday, temperatures will continue to rise and reach up to 26 degrees, with Upper Austria and Salzburg recording the highest values.

Monday: Rise to 28 degrees
Monday will bring a further rise in temperatures to up to 28 degrees. Plenty of sunshine and temperatures of at least 24 degrees are expected throughout Austria. Upper Austria, in particular, can look forward to the highest temperatures.

Tuesday: heat record of 30 degrees
The surprise comes on Tuesday, when the thermometers are expected to reach the magical 30-degree mark again! Current forecasts suggest that Tyrol, Salzburg, Upper Austria, and Lower Austria could reach almost 30 degrees. In Upper Austria, in particular, close to the Salzkammergut, it should finally reach 30 degrees again.
