Do you have a low income and must turn over every euro three times? Then please check whether you can be exempted from some fees or are entitled to a social tariff. Find out what options are available here.

General requirements (ORF contribution, telephone, electricity, gas)

  • You must be of legal age, i.e. 18 years old
  • The address for which you apply for the exemption must be your main residence.
  • You must not be a pretext for another person to receive the exemption.

You must be eligible because, for example, you are unemployed or deaf; receive childcare allowance; are an apprentice (of legal age); receive a benefit from other public funds (e.g., basic care, prescription fee exemption, civilian service); receive minimum income, pension, care allowance, student, or pupil allowance.

Their net household income may not exceed € 1,364.12 (for one person) or € 2,152.03 (for two persons) plus € 210.48 for each additional person. (Guideline rates for 2024)
If the net household income exceeds the specified contribution limits, you can claim certain deductible expenses (extraordinary expenses, 24-hour care, rental expenses). Further details are under “Deductible expenses” for the ORF contribution.

Subsidy for the telephone fee
