Babaylan Austria, a dedicated Philippine women’s organization based in Austria, continues to empower Filipino women in educational, economic, cultural, and social spheres. With a deep commitment to uplifting communities, the group also assists women and children in need in Austria and the Philippines.
In November 2024, Babaylan Austria organized a grand masquerade ball, a spectacular event that brought together supporters and advocates of Filipino empowerment. The event celebrated Filipino culture and solidarity and served a noble cause. A portion of the proceeds from this vibrant gathering was earmarked for a meaningful project—supporting the Kindergarten Project in Idio, Antique, Philippines.
The Kindergarten Project, initiated by the Pfarre der Weg Jesu in Vienna’s 1210 district, aims to improve the educational facilities for young children in the rural town of Idio. Recognizing the urgent need for better sanitation in the kindergarten, Babaylan Austria’s donation will specifically fund the construction of a second toilet for the children. This contribution will significantly enhance the hygiene and comfort of the students, fostering a healthier learning environment.
Babaylan Austria demonstrates its unwavering dedication to community development and child welfare through this generous act. Their continued support and commitment to initiatives like these highlight the importance of collective action in creating a better future for underprivileged communities.
Babaylan Austria extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the donors, supporters, and attendees of the Masquerade Ball. Your generosity and solidarity make a real difference in the lives of children in need. Together, we build a brighter future—one step, one project, and one act of kindness at a time.
