Vienna, Austria – January 29, 2025— The Retired Nurses and Midwives Association in Austria (RNMAA) recently held a planning meeting for its first-anniversary celebration, which will take place on 30 August 2025 at the Marriott Hotel in Vienna. The event will also honour Filipino nurses from Batch 1975 and recognise their contributions to the healthcare sector.

The meeting, attended by key members, focused on finalizing details of the anniversary program, guest list, and logistical arrangements. The RNMAA expects distinguished guests from the Philippine Embassy in Austria and the Austrian government, highlighting the strong ties between Filipino healthcare professionals and Austria.

“This celebration is not just about marking a milestone for our association but also about recognizing the dedication and service of Filipino nurses who have made a lasting impact in Austria,” said an RNMAA representative.

Aside from the formal planning discussions, the meeting also became an opportunity for members to celebrate the birthdays of three esteemed colleagues: Macrina Cudiamat, Adel Calanog, and Irma Hudecek. The group shared warm greetings and well wishes, making the gathering a blend of both professional and personal camaraderie.

With the anniversary date set, organizers are working on securing sponsorships, finalizing the program, and ensuring the participation of retired nurses, midwives, and supporters from both the Filipino and Austrian communities.

The RNMAA remains committed to fostering solidarity among retired healthcare professionals and celebrating their invaluable contribution to Austria’s medical landscape.
