In recent years, there have been many discussions about charging for parking in Shopping City Süd. So far, however, nothing has come of such plans.

This will change on 14 April. From then on, customers will only be able to park their cars free of charge for four hours. After that, they will have to pay 2.50 euros per hour, as the SCS informs on its homepage.
The parking garage will also charge a fee from the first minute. Only Westfield Club members can park for two hours free of charge.

Commuter hotspot
According to reports, the reason for the measure is probably the large number of commuters who park their cars in the SCS parking lot to get on the Badner Bahn, for example. These parking spaces are then not available for business use.

The details of the parking space management will be announced by Shopping City shortly.

License plate recognition
In any case, customers report that cameras have recently been installed at the entrances. SCS has announced that payment will be possible at new terminals at the entrances or via the bmove app. There are no tickets. The license plate number is recorded.

Incidentally, moviegoers can park in the south parking lot for six hours free of charge.

Those who do not pay for parking will be fined 80 euros. After paying the ticket, customers have 30 minutes to drive out.
