At least another week of summer heat
After a hot and humid weekend, the new week will start a little more pleasantly in eastern Austria. The daily highs will be just below 30 °C, and the air will no longer feel so oppressive. The brief respite will end quickly: starting on Tuesday, temperatures will rise again day by day. This will also increase the risk of thunderstorms, especially in the mountains.
Heat shifts from west to east
The heat will first reach its peak in western Austria. From the middle of the week, the focus will shift to the center of the country. Towards the end of the working week, Vienna can also expect temperatures of around 30°C or more.
Cooling off is not expected for at least a week
According to the current forecast, temperatures will not fall below the 30 °C mark again for at least a week. A significant cooling off is not in sight at the moment.
