The travel company “Unforgettable Travel Company” has named the most beautiful villages in the world for Forbes magazine. Particularly pleasing: an Austrian village secured a place on the podium.
In the middle of the beautiful Salzkammergut region lies a village that is causing a stir around the world. A particularly prominent tourist hotspot is the Salzwelten, a former salt mine with an underground lake.
Every year, the Austrian town attracts between one million and 1.3 million visitors—and not without reason. According to a ranking by “Unforgettable Travel Company,” Hallstatt is the second most beautiful village in the world.
