Vienna, Austria — The International Cultural Diversity Organization (ICDO) has launched the 8th edition of the Long Nights of Interculturality, one of Vienna’s most significant annual cultural festivals. The event, which began on September 22, will run until September 28, 2025, showcasing performances, exhibitions, and discussions that highlight global cultural diversity.
The week-long program is being held under the theme #SafeguardingDiversity, with events staged across some of the Austrian capital’s most prominent venues. Organizers say the festival aims to foster dialogue, promote inclusion, and encourage greater appreciation of shared humanity.
On September 23, the spotlight was on the Costumes of the World show at the Vienna Capitol. The Philippines was represented by ENFID Austria, whose presentation featured traditional attire such as the terno and Maria Clara gowns, along with fabrics including piña and jusi.
The presentation featured seven models: EspieKikay Obra Fabok, Joma Leitenhuber, Erin Silangil, Missy Zavala, and the Climaco Angels — children of Richie Aldea Climaco, Mandro Climaco. Their performance highlighted the elegance and artistry of Filipino heritage and received warm applause from the audience.

In addition to live performances, the festival features art exhibitions, film screenings, and panel discussions. These are designed not only to celebrate cultural heritage but also to spark conversations on common challenges and opportunities in today’s interconnected world.
According to ICDO, the Long Nights of Interculturality is intended as a platform where cultures meet and connections are built, contributing to a more inclusive and respectful society.
The festival is open to the public, with organizers encouraging participation from both cultural enthusiasts and those seeking to learn more about global traditions.
