The new month brings further price increases.
Currently, hardly a month goes by without a new price shock. In July, for example, fees for passports, ID cards, and driver’s licenses were drastically increased as part of the current austerity program. This was followed in August by a price increase for the Klimaticket.
In December, beer drinkers will be asked to pay up. A total of 18 beer brands and over 100 types of beer from Brau Union will become more expensive on December 1. Gösser, Zipfer, and others will cost up to 3.4 percent more.
ÖBB increases prices
Motorists will also have to pay more. The 2026 vignette, which is valid from December 1, will cost 2.9 percent more. The annual vignette will therefore cost €106.80.
But train travel will also become more expensive in December. With the new timetable, new prices will also apply from December 14. Train travel in Austria will thus become 3.5 percent more expensive on average.
There will also be a price increase for streaming. Disney+ will become more expensive again from December 13, 2025. The provider recently increased the cost for new customers. Now it’s the turn of existing customers. From December 13, the cheapest subscription will cost €6.99, the standard subscription €10.99, and the premium subscription €15.99.
