Vienna, the historic capital of classical music, recently played host to a triumph of Filipino-Canadian artistry. The Himig Kabataan Cultural Society (HKCS) Choir has officially earned the Gold Award at the prestigious 15th World Peace Choral Festival (WPCF).

A Celebration of Global Harmony

Since its founding in 2010, the WPCF has served as a premier international platform, bringing together talented choirs from more than 60 countries to celebrate peace, unity, and cultural exchange through music. This year, the festival added another unforgettable chapter to its legacy, underscored by the stunning vocal brilliance and heartfelt dedication of the HKCS singers.

Bringing the Music to Floridsdorf

Following their phenomenal success at the festival, the choir treated audiences to an inspiring live performance. On July 27 at 18:00, the HKCS Choir took center stage at the Floridsdorf Church (Pius-Parsch-Platz) for a special concert that resonated deeply with the local community and visiting music lovers alike.

Through soaring harmonies and powerful storytelling in song, the group showcased the rich cultural heritage and exceptional musicality of the Filipino-Canadian community, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone in attendance in Vienna.
