BERN, Switzerland – 2 October 2026 – The European Network of Filipino Diaspora (ENFiD) successfully concluded its Annual General Assembly (AGA) held in Bern, Switzerland on 2 October 2026. Hosted by ENFiD-Swiss, the event brought together Filipino diaspora leaders from across Europe to strengthen networks and elect new leadership for the coming term.
The ENFiD-Austria delegation made a significant impact at the assembly, represented by Sonia Zerrudo, Nilsa Fischer, Ana Maria Langer and Evelyn Ildefonso.
In a significant development for ENFiD-Austria, Sonia Zerrudo was elected Internal Auditor for 2027–2028. She will serve alongside Nilsa Fischer, ENFiD Director for the same term. Together, they will represent ENFiD-Austria on the ENFiD Board, ensuring that Filipino-Austrian voices are heard at the highest levels of the organization.
The AGA also confirmed the election of the new ENFiD Officers for 2027-2028:

- Assistant Secretary: Anarose Brion Panaga

About ENFiD-Austria
ENFiD-Austria was officially established in Vienna on October 15, 2017. It was formed by a dedicated group of eight Filipino community leaders who aimed to support and connect Filipinos living across Europe.
The organization is committed to advancing the 4E Pillars: Education & Learning, Elevating Arts & Culture, Empowering Euro Pinoy Youth, and Embracing the Environment. In 2026, the festival carried special significance as it celebrated the 80th Anniversary of Philippine-Austrian Diplomatic Relations, with a parade through Vienna’s iconic landmarks from Stephansplatz to the Sigmund Freud Park, with 47 participating organizations and groups.
ENFiD-Austria also actively engages in Europe-wide initiatives, contributing to Diaspora to Dialogue Forums, the Youth Changemakers Forum, and various cultural exchanges. With a vibrant core of active members, the organization continues to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for Filipinos in Austria and across Europe.
