Corona-infected people in England can now end their isolation after just five full days. The new rule has been in effect since the beginning of this week. It provides that after two negative antigen self-tests on day five and day six, isolation can be ended early as long as there is no fever. With the new regulation, the government wants to combat the massive shortage of personnel in the health sector and other industries.
In Slovenia, changed entry regulations apply from today, Monday. Accordingly, domestic quarantine, if prescribed upon entry, can no longer be terminated prematurely. Previously, the seven-day quarantine could be terminated after five days at the earliest with a negative PCR test.
In Sicily, protests are growing against the 2G requirement introduced last week on board ferries connecting the island with mainland Italy. The president of the Sicily region, Nello Musumeci, gave the government a 24-hour ultimatum to revise this.
