Non-EU citizens can now enter Croatia without vaccination certificates or negative Corona tests.

This is now possible again – at least when it comes to a trip to Croatia. After the measure of mandatory presentation of a COVID certificate when entering Croatia was abolished on April 1, the Ministry of Interior decided this week to lift the least restrictive measure at the borders. Thus, non-EU citizens are now no longer required to show a valid vaccination certificate or negative PCR test at the border.

“The validity of the decision on the temporary restriction of crossing the Republic of Croatia border crossings, valid until April 30, 2022, has not been extended. Therefore, when entering the Republic of Croatia, the same rules that applied before the COVID-19 epidemic must be observed: The Schengen Borders Code, the Aliens Act, etc. – epidemiological conditions, however, are no longer to be fulfilled,” a letter from the Ministry of Interior states.

As a reminder, although EU citizens no longer have to present their COVID certificate since April 1, the rule of the obligation to give a certificate or a negative test still applies to all passengers who are third-country nationals. This decision was valid until April 30 but has also been officially revoked.
