As time moves, more and more people look a little more attentively into their wallets when shopping. On the one hand, food is too good to throw away, and on the other hand, it is simply too expensive. Who prepares the meal and the purchase well saves money and ensures that fewer food lands in the ton.

A weekly plan should include specific meal requests and the corresponding shopping list. This time investment is worthwhile because before you go to the supermarket, you almost inevitably take a look in your storage cupboards. Perhaps there are still products you haven’t thought of at all but could also serve as the basis for a delicious dish. Dishes with fresh food should be planned for the beginning of the week, so you do not have to go shopping again.
A shopping list helps you save money: You don’t go haphazardly along the shelves and fill the shopping cart with loud things that are particularly appealing and for which you have an appetite. With this in mind, it is well known that you should never go shopping hungry.

With good weekly planning, you can react optimally to offers usually presented to us at the weekend through numerous offer flyers. Small supplies may be put on exceptionally calmly with more extended shelf life. Vegetables and fruit are available at special prices, especially at weekly markets before closing. What’s more, if you buy seasonally, you get more for your money. A look at the seasonal calendar is therefore also worthwhile in any case.

It’s no longer a secret that high-quality meat is one of the more expensive foods. Eating less of it not only increases the repertoire of vegetarian dishes but also does good for the health of animals, humans, and the environment.

Preparing your simple dishes are also a guaranteed way to save money. The more elaborate the recipe, the more ingredients are needed, only some of which end up being used. Your budget will last longer if you manage to get by with fewer (complicated) ingredients. By the way, delicious fruit spreads and jams or shelf-stable vegetable pestos are straightforward to make yourself. You usually have to dig much deeper into your wallet for ready-made meals than if you take the time to cook yourself to start the meal together at the table with a “bon appétit.”
