Today, April 20, will be a very special day for Astro-fans. Because then we will experience a new moon and a total solar eclipse. A spectacle that only happens a few times per century.
Rare moon-sun combination on April 20
Anyone who is a bit involved with astrology knows: the new moon is a very special phase for fans of zodiac signs, manifestations and the like. Because the new moon always brings motivation, emotional strength and power to tackle new goals. It is, therefore, the perfect time for new manifestations and affirmations. But that’s not all; the new moon on April 20 is under a special constellation.
At the same time, there is a total solar eclipse. To the memory: with a total solar eclipse, the moon completely covers the sun from certain angles of vision. It’s a pretty stunning sight that we won’t see again until April 2024.
And combined with the new moon being in the sign of Aries, this total solar eclipse takes on even more special meaning for Astro-fans. And not only because such an event occurs only a handful of times per century. Because the solar eclipse is known to influence our everyday life greatly, thus, it always brings transformation and change; this can have both positive and negative effects on us.
The added New Moon in the fire sign Aries can reinforce these changes and guide them in a very special direction. For this combination also brings about some emotional changes. Specifically, the mix brings a great urge for a new beginning. The result can be quite a bit of inner turmoil during this phase, tempting us to change things fundamentally, turn processes upside down, and start completely over. This may initially sound a bit intimidating, but it can bring many positive effects. After all, Aries stands for perseverance and tenacity, two enormously important qualities, especially when making a new start.
The best view of the eclipse
And two features that we will probably all need after the eclipse. Because just one day later – on April 21 – Mercury retrograde starts. A phase that generally stands for chaos, change and turbulence. But if you draw enough motivation and strength from the new moon and solar eclipse, you can ideally prepare yourself for this chaotic phase. (Who needs further Tipps, how one ideally survives the retrograde Mercury, also becomes here fündig).
By the way: even if the solar eclipse could have some effects on us – probably the fewest of us will see it. Because the total solar eclipse is always visible only in certain regions and areas of the world, this time it can be marvelled at best at the Australian west coast. The total solar eclipse will also be visible in parts of Southeast Asia. But don’t worry, the so-called eclipse chasers, who align their journeys according to the solar eclipse data, will certainly provide one or the other breathtaking image material.
