Today, Thursday will start cloudy on the northern side of the Alps and from Vorarlberg to Upper Austria with showery rain; from noon, some showers also fall in the east. The sun will shine mainly from Lower Carinthia to Southern Burgenland, but here it will be thundery in the second half of the day with a local risk of thunderstorms. The wind will be moderate at Lake Constance and the Waldviertel, strong from southwest to west. From north to south, highs are between 19 and 28 degrees.
On Friday, often gloomy and, in some areas, wet weather will set in. Especially in the east and southeast and from the Bregenzerwald to the Salzkammergut it rains heavily, locally also thunderstorms are embedded. However, at least some showers will be present throughout the country; the most extended dry spells will be in the western Danube region and the Waldviertel. The sun can be seen at most sporadically, and the temperatures generally no longer exceed 16 to 25 degrees.
Saturday will continue to be rainy on the northern side of the Alps as well as in the east and southeast, from Vorarlberg to Carinthia only a few heavy showers will pass through and the sun will be visible at least occasionally. In the east, the north, west wind will be brisk to strong. A maximum of only 15 to 22 degrees will be reached.
Sunday will start in the west with many clouds and partly rainy, in the east, however, the sun will still show up frequently. During the day, cloud fields will also move to the east, but the tendency to showers will remain very low here. In the south and southeast, there will be a mix of sun, clouds and storms during the day, with a foehny northerly wind blowing. In the Danube region, the westerly wind will blow briskly to firmly; occasionally, gale-force gusts are possible. Temperatures will rise at a maximum of 15 to 24 degrees.
