Beginning with the weekend, the weather is on its erratic but warm side. But this will finally end on Sunday.
At the beginning of the weekend, the weather situation changed a bit. The high “Tora” is initially still weather-determining, but it gradually loses its influence and retreats to the Mediterranean. On Saturday, the cold front of the low “Simon,” which has its center over northern Sweden, finally makes landfall, bringing a sharp drop in temperature across the Alpine region. The cold front finally moves through on Sunday, and “Verena” is a high-pressure system.
Saturday begins in the east and the southern valleys and basins, often with fog, otherwise mostly friendly. But in the morning, dense clouds will move in from the west, bringing showery rain that will gradually spread eastward in the afternoon. Locally, thunderstorms are possible, but from Upper Carinthia to the eastern lowlands, the day will end on a friendly note. A partly brisk westerly wind will freshen up on the northern face of the Alps, blowing once more 17 to 26 degrees from west to east.

Sunday has an apparent cooling to offer. The clouds dominate, and especially in the south and southeast, it goes wet through the day with showery and partly heavy rain; also, along the northern Alps, showers move through. In the afternoon, the rain in the southeast will ease only hesitantly; also, in the northern backwater of the Alps, a few showers will still make themselves felt. It remains somewhat friendlier north of the Danube; the sun appears repeatedly here. Lively to northwest solid wind, only 7 to 15 degrees.
After a chilly night, Monday will start with a daytime high of just a light plus and, in some areas, the first frost. After the dissipation of local fog fields, the sun will often appear during the day with only harmless veil clouds from Vorarlberg to Upper Carinthia; however, generally, more clouds will make themselves felt in the afternoon. In the south, a weak southerly wind will blow; on the northern side of the Alps, the wind will gradually shift from westerly to easterly directions, and temperatures will reach 9 to 15 degrees, which is appropriate for the time of year.
