“Wrong economic policy”: criticism from ARBÖ President
Rezar criticizes that the climate bonus, intended to compensate for the CO2 pricing, is far from sufficient to offset the additional costs. “In the current situation in Austria, with price increases and persistently high inflation, higher taxes are the wrong economic policy,” said the ARBÖ President.

In any case, fuel prices in 2023 will be significantly below the previous year’s. “While overall prices have risen by around eight percent this year, the prices for Eurosuper and diesel are almost nine percent lower on average this year than in the previous year,” the VCÖ recently calculated.
