April does what it wants. This saying could also apply to the weather at Easter. In 2013, for example, a massive cold snap caused wintry conditions with snowfall down to low altitudes. In 2000, on the other hand, temperatures rose to a summery 29 degrees in Salzburg.

Slightly more clouds are likely around the main Alpine ridge and in East Tyrol and Upper Carinthia. The risk of showers and thunderstorms from midday will increase somewhat in Vorarlberg and the North Tyrolean Limestone Alps, but it will mostly remain dry.
Easter Monday will also start sunny and pleasantly warm, with temperatures up to 25 degrees. During the afternoon, however, showers and thunderstorms will move through, especially along the northern Alps, Salzburg, Mühlviertel, and Waldviertel, and later also in the lowlands of Upper and Lower Austria.
In Carinthia, southern Styria, and Burgenland, it will remain predominantly dry and friendly. The wind, or foehn, will no longer be an issue, and it will stay warm at 15 to 25 degrees, especially in the south.
