As of 9:30 a.m. Thursday, 179 new coronavirus infections have been recorded – down from 283 last week. Three more deaths have been reported. The relaxation in the hospitals also continues: seven patients could leave the normal wards since yesterday, five seriously ill an intensive care unit.
So far, there have been 649,181 positive test results in Austria. As of 9:30 a.m., 10,674 people across Austria had died as a result of coronavirus, and 635,192 have recovered. Currently, 268 people are undergoing hospital treatment, 87 of whom are being cared for in intensive care units.
The new infections in the provinces:
Burgenland 1, Carinthia 1, Lower Austria 28, Upper Austria 18, Salzburg 11, Styria 15, Tyrol 12, Vorarlberg 1, Vienna 92.
