Starting on Saturday, 10 July 2021, a second vaccination box without registration is available on the Danube Island.
After the huge rush at Rathausplatz, the City of Vienna is now opening a second vaccination box on Vienna’s Danube Island, where people can also get vaccinated against the coronavirus without an appointment.

From Saturday, there are Corona vaccinations without registration also on the Danube Island in Vienna. The City of Vienna opens a vaccination box as a second location next to the Rathausplatz on the so-called Sportinsel opposite the Schulschiff, accessible with the U6 at the Donauinsel station.

The box is open Monday through Friday 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The vaccine from Johnson & Johnson is given to those over 18.
Under 18s will get Biontech/Pfizer and a secondary shot at the Austria Center. All that is needed for immunization is an ID card and – if available – an e-card. The city expects 100 to 120 vaccinations per day, a spokesman for Health City Councilor Peter Hacker (SPÖ) told APA on Thursday. Those who do not want to be vaccinated right away can also register for a later appointment.
