Saturday’s figures show that the number of newly infected persons is decreasing again. In two federal states there are no new cases at all.
After a period when the number of new infections daily was in the three-digit range, only 74 new cases were counted at the weekend. Most of them in Upper Austria with 36 positive corona tests in the past 24 hours. Behind this is Vienna with only 17 new infections.

Only six new cases were confirmed in Carinthia, five in Lower Austria and four in Styria. In Salzburg and Tyrol there were three new positive tests each. In Vorarlberg and Burgenland the number of new infections is zero.
So far, there have been 18,783 positive test results in Austria. As of today (11 July 2020, 09:30 a.m.), 706 people throughout Austria have died as a result of the corona virus and 16,864 have recovered. At present, 77 persons are undergoing hospital treatment due to the corona virus and 9 of these are in intensive care units.
