Increase of pregnancy has been foreseen this year. Experts say, this was a result of the lockdown during the springtime – a baby boom is expected in 2021.
The long weeks at home for two have been sweetened up by many couples in spring and apparently not only used them for cuddling: Gynecologists throughout Austria are currently noticing an increase in pregnancies. No exact results are available yet, but the trend compared to last year is clear. The initial restrictions and work in the home office now suggest that a baby boom is expected in 2021.
Less everyday hectic ensures a new generation
“It may well have been helpful for couples with a desire for children that the daily rush has eased off because of Corona,” gynecologist Maria Sala confirmed to the “Kleine Zeitung”.
