After only some spots in the country were colored yellow last Friday, the traffic light commission decided on Monday evening, after hours of debate, to recommend switching districts to orange for the first time. This affects Vienna, Innsbruck City, Kufstein, Dornbirn, Bludenz, Mödling and Neunkirchen.
Last Friday, the cities of Vienna, Wiener Neustadt, Graz and Innsbruck were “yellow” (medium risk) at the second Corona traffic light circuit, as were the districts of Korneuburg (Lower Austria), Kufstein and Schwaz (Tyrol). In view of the high number of new infections in the last few days, a special meeting of the Corona Commission was held on Monday evening, at which “orange” was used for the first time. Affected are Vienna, Innsbruck-Stadt, Kufstein, Dornbirn, Bludenz, Mödling and Neunkirchen.
