410 corona patients have to be treated in hospital, another 99 infected persons are in intensive care. An overview of the current situation.
Saturday, 14.00 o’clock – The Dashboard of AGES (https://covid19-dashboard.ages.at) shows that Austria has 13,177 persons who are actively infected with COVID 19. The updated figures of the AGES-Dashboard has been in operation since Tuesday and is the official successor of the dashboard of the Ministry of Health.
According to ORF, this was accompanied by a new leap in numbers, as around 2,000 convalescents had not yet been registered in the new system. At the same time, new cases are no longer to be categorized according to the time of registration, but with the date of laboratory diagnosis. This could have taken place days before.
Although this would better reflect the chronological course of the epidemic, it would lead to changes in the number of newly infected patients each day. However, the Ministry of the Interior will continue to make this information public in its current form. According to the report, there was a new record of 1,235 new infections from yesterday to today.
However, the number of SARS-CoV2 cases in Austria in the past 7 days per 100,000 inhabitants is more significant for the spread of the virus. According to the AGES, the current national average is 78.4 and thus far above the limit of 50, which is used by many countries for classification as a risk area.
As of today, 858 infected persons have died. The survey covers all Covid patients who have a confirmed infection but who have not yet been classified as having recovered from the infection before they died, for whatever reason.
