34 districts stand country widely on orange: Now massive intensification threatens.
The Corona numbers continue to rise. Meanwhile, the government – as reported – is intensively discussing further measures, including a “shutdown light”. Of 79 districts throughout Austria, only 26 are currently green, the rest are yellow or “intensively orange”. More and more Covid clusters like the one in Salzburg’s Tennengau region are requiring tough measures. The entire district of Hallein is now considered a high-risk area.
It is therefore only a matter of time until more corona hotspot districts are given the “red light”. After all, all parameters relating to the pandemic are on the rise.
The number of positively diagnosed cases over the past seven days per 100,000 inhabitants (7-day incidence) is now at an alarming 81, in the Tennengau region of Salzburg as many as 243, in Vienna 164. By way of comparison: in Germany, with an incidence of over 50 infected persons per 100,000 inhabitants, the situation is getting worse. In addition, the number of Covid patients requiring hospital treatment is increasing: 33 people have been admitted to a clinic within the past 24 hours. Here, too, the trend is constantly upwards.
