In Austria there have been more Corona cases than ever before in just one day. The number in the morning was revised upwards once again.
On Wednesday, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health again reported a sharp increase in new corona infections. According to the two ministries, there have been well over 1,000 newly registered cases in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of the Interior reported a total of 58,672 positive test results and 1,346 new cases in a mailing at 10.41 a.m. Most of the new infections were again confirmed in the German capital, where a total of 402 new cases were confirmed within 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health’s census, however, the number of new cases in just one day in the country was even higher. According to this, since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 58,879 people have tested positive for the virus, and there are currently 12,161 active corona cases.
According to the Ministry of Health, there have also been 1,555 confirmed cases in the last 24 hours – the highest number since the outbreak of the corona virus in Austria. 654 people are in hospital due to a corona infection, 112 patients are fighting for their lives in the intensive care unit. 872 people have died as a result of the infection.
