Two and a half weeks before the presidential election in the USA, incumbent Donald Trump speculated about a possible defeat. At an election campaign event in Macon, Georgia, Trump said: “Can you imagine me losing? What will I do?” With laughter, he claimed to have lost in this case against “the worst candidate in political history. “I’m not gonna feel so good. Maybe I have to leave the country. I don’t know.”

Trump also intensified its attacks on the family of its challenger. “Joe Biden is a corrupt politician,” he said at another campaign appearance in Ocala in the US state of Florida. “And the Biden family is a criminal enterprise.”

Trump added, “The Bidens got rich while America was being robbed.” The U.S. president called “mainstream media” “enemies of the people” and accused them of not reporting on “the world’s greatest story” – meaning the alleged corruption of the Democrat Biden.

Trump supporters chanted “Lock him up” when Biden’s name was mentioned – this was the slogan Trump supporters had used in the election campaign four years ago to remind his challenger Hillary Clinton. For a long time and without evidence, Trump has been making accusations of corruption against former Vice President Biden and his son Hunter, who have now been fired by the tabloid newspaper “New York Post”.
