Almost 11,000 new cases in seven days. Eight percent of those tested positive.
Yesterday, another 1,524 new corona infections were registered in Austria. In the past seven days, there were almost 11,000 new cases. The positivity rate (proportion of those tested positive) is already at almost eight percent.
Hospitalization rates have also risen from 621 to 889 in the past seven days. The seven-day incidence per 100,000 inhabitants was yesterday in Austria at 114. 50 is the value, starting from which the European Union traffic light switches a country on red. Before the meeting of the Corona commission threatens thereby further red switching in Austria.
Hallein (already switched to red) reached an incidence of 513.5 per 100,000 inhabitants yesterday at noon – one of the highest values in all of Europe! In the neighboring Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden, the incidence rose to 270, where a lockdown for two weeks has now been issued.
Innsbruck city (already red) comes on 243. Three districts, which should have been switched according to expert basis already past week on red, but then nevertheless remained orange, register likewise strong increases: Schwaz (Tirol) lies with 230,2, Schärding (Upper Austria) with 226,8 and Sankt Johann in the Pongau (Salzburg) with 225,9. catfish reaches likewise already a seven-day average of 204,1.
37 districts are already over 100 in incidence, another 39 are partly well over 50, only seven districts are under 35.
