Starting from 14 o’clock the Corona traffic light commission meets. St. Pölten, Gmunden and Zell am See are to be switched to red. How it stands around Vienna, is still unclear.
2,435 new corona cases were registered in Austria on Thursday. This is a new record. Again.
Starting from 14 o’clock today, Thursday, also the Corona traffic light commission of the Federal Government meets. And also today, on the basis of the data from AGES and GÖG (Gesundheit Österreich GmbH, the national research and planning institute for the health service), the Corona case numbers will be used to decide which cities and areas should be switched to “red”.
According to dailynewspaper KURIER the following cities and areas should be set to “red” according to expert recommendations:
Burgenland: Neusiedl am See
Lower Austria: St. Pölten, Amstetten, Bruck/Leitha, Mödling and Tulln
Upper Austria: Gmunden, Grieskirchen, Ried, Rohrbach, Schärding and Vöcklabruck. Wels should remain red.
Salzburg: Hallein is already red and shall remain red. At new red circuits Salzburg environment, pc. Johann/Pongau and Zell am See will be added.
Styria: Leoben, Voitsberg
Tyrol: Imst, Landeck, Schwaz. Innsbruck and Innsbruck Land are already red and should remain red
Vorarlberg: Rhine Valley / Walgau
Vienna: Vienna is currently set to “Orange”. Whether this is to be changed is probably still unclear
From 2 p.m. the traffic light commission meets today, Thursday. A decision on the proposals of AGES and GÖG is not planned until the evening.
