New restrictions in force
In Italy, restrictive measures have come into force due to the sharp increase in coronavirus numbers. Since Friday evening, a night-time curfew has been in force from 22.00 to 5.00 hours. In four regions – Lombardy, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta and Calabria – a “lockdown light” with curfew and travel restrictions has been imposed.

Stores and restaurants, with the exception of supermarkets, pharmacies, newsstands and tobacconists, must remain closed in these regions. The government adopted support measures for the affected economic sectors amounting to two billion euros.
