In Germany, health authorities have reported 21,866 new corona infections to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) within the last 24 hours. This is almost 3,400 more cases than on Wednesday, according to the RKI’s data from Thursday morning.
Compared to last Thursday, the figure is slightly higher. At that time, the number of reported new infections was 19,990. A peak had been reached on Saturday with 23,399 recorded cases.
The RKI counts a total of 727,553 confirmed infections with Sars-CoV-2 in Germany since the beginning of the pandemic (as of November 12, 00:00 hrs). The number of deaths related to the virus rose by 215 to a total of 11,982 by Thursday, compared to 261 cases on Wednesday. The RKI estimates that about 467,800 people have recovered in the meantime.
