For the second time since midnight, Austria is in a corona full lockdown. Schools are closed, the retail sector has to close.

Lockdown: The new rules at a glance

The population is now only allowed to leave the house for specific activities. For the time being, the measures apply up to and including December 6.

It is to be avoided at all costs that doctors have to decide who can still receive the best possible treatment. To this end, the exit restrictions will also apply around the clock. It will still be possible to travel to work, buy basic goods and visit the doctor. It is also permitted to stay outside, for example for walks or individual sports without physical contact.
