Bargains. Record day: Black Friday is probably the cheapest bargain day of the year. The stores are closed because of the lockdown, though the online stores are stormed by mouse clicks. According to the Klarna study, every second Austrian wants to strike today for bargains.
Interesting: Men want to spend 101 euros more than women. 51% want to get a part of the Christmas presents. Upper Austrians are the most willing to spend (334 Euro).
Do good. Black Friday is a day on which the domestic economy can be helped with targeted purchases. The Chamber of Commerce has calculated: If every tenth Austrian spends 100 euros in domestic online trade, 477 jobs can be saved. WKO President Harald Mahrer: “The goal is that we do not leave the field to Amazon and Co. during the Christmas business”.
