The number of new corona infections on Sunday gives us a little hope: 4,047 new infections were reported within 24 hours. But there were 87 fatalities.
The number of new infections continues to fall in the hard lockdown. Even though traditionally less testing is done on Sunday, the current figures give hope. In the past 24 hours, 4,047 new infections with the coronavirus were reported to the authorities throughout Austria, most of them in Lower Austria. The comparison with last Sunday is decisive. There were 5,226 positive findings.
The current figures are distributed among the nine federal states as follows:

➤ Carinthia: 446
➤ Lower Austria: 762
➤ Upper Austria: 647
➤ Salzburg: 346
➤ Styria: 692
➤ Tyrol: 293
➤ Vorarlberg: 116
➤ Vienna: 621
As of today (November 29, 2020, 9:30 a.m.), 279,708 people throughout the country have been diagnosed with Covid-19, according to the Ministry of the Interior. 3,105 people have died as a result of the infection and 216,998 have recovered.
At present, 3,560 people are undergoing hospital treatment for the corona virus (31 fewer than yesterday), and 691 of these are in intensive care. This is 3 more patients than on Saturday.
The Covid-19 dashboard of the AGES obtains its data exclusively from the Epidemiological Register (EMS) and is updated once a day at 2 pm. The EMS is the official register in which the district authorities and laboratories are entered. In the Ministry of the Interior, on the other hand, the figures are collected through the daily videoconference of the State Crisis and Disaster Management in the Emergency and Coordination Center (EKC). These figures may include cases that are not yet recorded in the EMS.
