Vienna mass tests will take place from 8 to 17 January 2021

Because of the huge rush, the Vienna city government has announced more testing opportunities for the next few days. In the test lanes near the Austria Center in Vienna, there will be more appointment slots before Christmas after all. This was announced by a spokesman for city health councillor Peter Hacker (SPÖ) on Tuesday. Until December 26, 1,000 additional appointments per day will be possible. Germany reports 962 Corona deaths in 24 hours

The number of reported deaths related to the coronavirus has reached a new high in Germany. Within one day, German public health departments transmitted 962 new deaths to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), according to RKI figures released Wednesday morning. In addition, 24,740 new infections were reported. Last Wednesday (Dec. 16), 27,728 new infections and the previous high of 952 deaths had been recorded.
