The largest vaccination campaign in Austria’s history is about to start.
Today at 9 a.m., five high-risk patients will be the first in Austria to receive a vaccination against the coronavirus. This is historic event will be held at the MedUni Vienna.
After the first vaccination, there will be a press conference by Chancellor Kurz and Health Minister Anschober. Then the provinces will follow, starting at noon Styria will vaccinate (1 p.m.), Lower Austria (2 p.m.), Upper Austria (2 p.m.) and Tyrol (time still undetermined). None of the vaccination dates are open to the media; photos or videos are sent by the respective state governments.
