Numbers on the rise: Another 2,469 new infections and 68 Corona deaths

Vienna. Health and Interior Ministries reported Wednesday 2,469 new infections and 68 deaths. Across Austria, 6,525 people have died so far as a result of the Corona virus, while 344,974 have recovered.

To date, there have been 372,190 positive test results in Austria. Currently, 2,383 (minus 21) people are undergoing hospital treatment, of which 361 (minus ten) are in intensive care units. Thus, 20,691 people in Austria were confirmed active cases.
The new infections since the last report are divided among the provinces of Austria as follows:

Upper Austria: 502
Salzburg: 210
Styria: 382
Tyrol: 200
Vorarlberg: 119
Vienna: 443
