Coronavirus: 1,702 new infections Austria-wide

In Austria, 1,702 new Corona infections were recorded from Wednesday to Thursday.

To date, there have been 399,798 positive test results in Austria. As of today (January 21, 2021, 09:30 a.m.), 7,288 people across Austria have died as a result of the Corona virus and 376,360 have recovered. This is according to a release from the Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of Health.

Currently, 1,946 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the Corona virus and 340 of the sick are in intensive care units.

The new infections are divided among the provinces of Austria as follows:

Burgenland: 47
Carinthia: 196
Lower Austria: 246
Upper Austria: 246
Salzburg: 185
Styria: 210
Tyrol: 144
Vorarlberg: 81
Vienna: 347
