As of today, the Czech Republic will only allow foreigners to enter the country in urgent cases. This was pointed out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Prague this evening. Exceptions apply, among other things, for business trips, indispensable family visits, attendance at funerals and visits to authorities that cannot be postponed, according to a government resolution.

Those who own a vacation home in the Czech Republic can no longer use it for recreation for the time being. It will still be possible to leave the country. The government under Prime Minister Andrej Babis expressed concern about the dangers posed by new virus mutations. Recently, the British variant was detected for the first time in the EU member state.
