In Hungary, 302 people have died within 24 hours in connection with coronavirus. This is a new record. This means that 20,737 people have died as a result of infection so far. This puts Hungary, with a population of around ten million, at the top of the list of countries with the highest covid 19 mortality rate as a proportion of the population.
According to official data, 6,700 new infections were registered. There are 12,346 coronavirus patients in hospitals, and 1,492 require artificial respiration. So far, 2.011 million people have been vaccinated, 753,187 of whom have already received the second vaccination. According to the government, with 2.5 million citizens vaccinated, there could be a gradual opening.
