Since yesterday, there have been a total of 3,101 new corona virus infections in Austria. The situation in hospitals remains tense, especially in eastern Austria.
Situation in the provinces
To date, there have been 566,008 positive test results in Austria. As of today (April 7, 2021, 9:30 a.m.), 9,546 people across Austria have died as a result of coronavirus and 522,774 have recovered.
Currently, 2,455 people are undergoing hospitalization for coronavirus. Of these, 581 are being cared for in intensive care units.
The new infections in the provinces since yesterday’s announcement:

Carinthia: 159
Lower Austria: 474
Upper Austria: 457
Salzburg: 197
Styria: 252
Tyrol: 211
Vorarlberg: 118
Vienna: 1,130
