Some 105,500 Corona vaccination appointments are to be released in Vienna this week. High-risk patients, people over 65, contacts of pregnant women and people with disabilities will then be able to book their appointment.
Where to book for vaccination
Once again there are supply problems with the AstraZeneca vaccine. This week, no vaccine at all has arrived in Austria from the Swedish-British manufacturer. Nevertheless, coronavirus vaccinations continue in Vienna, primarily with the Biontech/Pfizer vaccine.
A spokesman for Vienna City Councilor of Health Peter Hacker said Thursday that 105,500 vaccination appointments will be released this week (week 14).
Pre-registered persons are to be informed about the new vaccination quota by e-mail or SMS. The first available dates for coronavirus vaccination will be today, April 12.
These individuals can sign up for corona vaccination:
75,000 Vaccination appointments for 65+ (born 1956 or older).
22,500 For high-risk patients 18+ (born in 2003 or older)
4.000 for contact persons of pregnant women
4.000 for pre-registered persons with disabilities
Notes on booking vaccination appointments in Vienna
Once again it is pointed out that when booking the vaccination appointment it is essential to select both dates (1st vaccination and 2nd vaccination). “Should you cancel the booking process even before selecting the second vaccination appointment, the first vaccination appointment is also not booked. If technical failures occur during the vaccination appointment booking, we ask you to restart booking of both appointments,” it says on Twitter.
Vaccination appointments can be booked not only for people who are already registered on the vaccination platform, but also for co-registered people and people who meet the criteria.
