After the comparatively low number of infections yesterday (Monday), the number of new infections is already slightly higher today (Tuesday). In the past 24 hours, there were 2,313 new infections in Austria.
Compared to Tuesday of the previous week, this is about 400 new infections more.
In addition, there are 42 new deaths related to Covid 19 infection. The last time there were this many new deaths within 24 hours was March 19.
The situation in Austrian hospitals is not easing either. 37 new patients have been added to normal wards in the past 24 hours. Although there were 12 fewer patients in intensive care units, this supposed relief is also offset by the 42 deaths.
