India has again recorded a global high of 184,372 confirmed new CoV infections within 24 hours. This means that around 13.9 million people have now been confirmed to have contracted the virus, according to the Ministry of Health.

Another 1,027 people died with or from the virus. That brings the total to 172,085. India has the highest number of infections in the world after the United States. Since last week, the Ministry of Health reports more than 100,000 new infections every day. According to experts, however, the number of unreported cases in the country with its 1.35 billion inhabitants is probably much higher.
