Sebastian Kurz was appointed State Secretary for Integration ten years ago, “and it is a great honor to work for our Austria every day,” the chancellor said on Facebook. In this regard, he said, the last few years have often been challenging and also marked by crises, such as the migration crisis or the Corona pandemic.
“But one thing has always been shown: The people in Austria stick together even in difficult times. For that I would like to say thank you!”, Kurz continues to write on his Facebook profile. And, “Thanks also to everyone who has persevered in this crisis until now.”
Kurz writes further: “I assure you: We are getting closer to normality with the great progress in vaccinations across the country!” Already this week, the federal government around Kurz will still inform the population about the further opening steps in mid-May.
In the coming days, the (security) concepts will still be worked out in detail by the opening commission, then on Friday, April 23, the big opening summit will take place. However, there is no concrete date yet for when Austria will open its doors. But the Austrians will be informed of the date by Friday at the latest. From Kurz himself.
