A quarter of all Europeans have already received their first dose, according to EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
In the European Union, 150 million vaccinations against Covid-19 have now been administered. The figure was given by EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Twitter on Tuesday. The vaccination pace is picking up across the EU, she said. “A quarter of Europeans have already received their first dose,” von der Leyen wrote. “By July, there will be enough doses to vaccinate 70 percent of adults in the EU.”
“The Corona vaccination is one of the most important projects that Europe has ever mastered in solidarity as a community,” Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein (Greens) stressed. Austria contributed about 3.23 million to the 150 million vaccinations, he said. “Together we can do it!”
About 450 million people live in the 27 EU states. 70 percent of adults corresponds to about 266 million people, according to the EU Commission.
