On the sidelines of the EU summit in Brussels, Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) made it clear that the next opening steps will take place on June 17.
Another stage is scheduled for July 1. Next Wednesday he will discuss their proposals with social partners and regional governors, and on Friday a decision will be made at a summit to which experts have also been invited.

Kurz saw the current development as extremely positive. One proceeds cautiously and carefully. But if it is possible, it will be relaxed. As examples, the chancellor cited a mask requirement outdoors or when only four people can come together. Volunteerism is also to be “brought back to bloom.”
