When vaccinated byBioNTech/Pfizer or AstraZeneca, 96 percent already form antibodies. Full protection for severely pre-diseased people after second sting.
A British analysis again argues that the Corona vaccines from BioNTech/Pfizer and AstraZeneca are highly effective. The results, based on a study of 8,517 people in England and Wales, prove this. A total of 13,232 antibody samples from the study participants were examined. The average age of the subjects was 65.
More than 90 percent of Britons developed antibodies to the coronavirus after receiving a dose of either the AstraZeneca or BioNTech/Pfizer vaccines. That number increased to 99.08 percent within seven to 14 days of the second vaccination. Antibody rates initially increased faster in those who received the BioNTech/Pfizer vaccine than in those with the AstraZeneca vaccine. However, after four weeks, recipients of both vaccines showed nearly identical antibody positivity rates.
Antibody levels after vaccination are also lower in people with certain underlying diseases, such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease. So are those taking drugs to suppress the immune system. But even this difference disappeared once all participants received their second vaccination, the researchers said.
